South Africa has won the opening day of the match against South Africa at Supersport Park in Centurion thanks to right-arm pacer Kagiso Rabada. After the rain delay, Rabada made good most of the early morning conditions. With his quick speed, Rabada caused discomfort for the Indian batting lineup and removed Rohit Sharma (5) early on when he was caught at fine-leg by Nandre Burger.
Nandre Burger contributed two wickets in the opening ten overs of the game, while India lost three early wickets in the batting. Shubman Gill (2) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (17) were removed by Burger, further complicating matters for India. The middle-order of India was unable to withstand the pace onslaught of South Africa.
