INDIA into CWC23 finals : Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami played stellar roles in India’s emphatic victory over New Zealand in the semi-final of the Cricket World Cup 2023, propelling them into the final of the tournament.
VIrat Kohli, today got his 50th ton here at Wankhade Stadium, Mumbai, scored a magnificent century (117 runs off 113 balls) to help India post a formidable total of 397/4. Also, Kohli hit his 50th ODI hundred, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s record of most runs in a single edition of World Cup.
Mohammed Shami, on the other hand, was the wrecker-in-chief with the ball, taking 7 wickets for 57 runs as New Zealand were bundled out for a paltry 327 runs in 48.3overs.
