List of 10wicket Takers in an Innings

Across all formats of cricket, taking all 10 wickets in an innings is a rare feat. In Test cricket, only three bowlers have ever managed this feat:

Jim Laker (in 1956 against Australia)

In 1956, English spinner Jim Laker made cricket history at Old Trafford, capturing both sets of ten wickets in a single Test match against Australia. His spin mastery on the dry pitch led to a remarkable 19-wicket haul, with 9 wickets for 37 runs in the first innings and 10 for 53 in the second. Laker’s outstanding performance secured England’s dominant victory by an entire innings.

Anil Kumble (in 1999 against Pakistan)

On February 7 1999, India’s Spin Legend Anil Kumble became only the second bowler and the first Indian to get all 10 wickets in an innings of a Test match. Kumble achieved this record feat in Feroz Shah Kotla ground (now Arun Jaitley Stadium) against Pakistan.

Ajaz Patel (in 2021 against India)
