Brian Masaba’s squad chased down the score in 8.1 overs, becoming the second team to qualify behind Namibia.

The African nation will be the continent’s sixth squad to qualify for the showcase event. Uganda finished second in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa region qualifying after winning five of six games.

Uganda overcame Zimbabwe on their way to becoming the 20th team to compete in the World Cup. The latter has routinely appeared in this competition.
